Lying

One cannot hang on spoken words
Without the sight of proof
For those who speak with guarded lips
Provide smeared lies and truth

To trust someone means letting go
Of insecurities
Believing what they say is true
Their slim realities

Their trained techniques in shadowed truths
Are easily believed
Persuasion at its cleverest
A lie so well conceived

The blurring of these two concepts
Cause complex conviction
I do admit the taste of lying
Is a sweet addiction
