Excuses

(Night before) When the bright sun rises
I’ll mow the front yard to make mom happy.
(Day of) I’ll mow the front yard later
After black clouds are gone
I’ll mow the front yard later
After I’m done singing
I’ll mow the front yard later
When I have put away spoons and forks
I’ll mow the front yard later
After I’ve eaten a ripe banana
I’ll mow the front yard later
Whe I’ve dyed my hair blonde
I’ll mow the front yard later
Once I watch Romeo and Juliet
I’ll mow the front yard later
If I can make a paper swan
I’ll mow the front yard later
Oh mother, you must have faith in me!
I’ll mow the front yard later
When I have shrunk my waistline
I’ll mow the front yard later
But I have to tend to the chores around me first!
I’ll mow the front yard later
Haven’t I repeated myself enough, Ma?
When the black clouds are gone
I’ll mow the front yard later.
Just let me drink a beer or two
I’ll mow the front yard later.
But it looks like it’s dark out
I’ll mow the front yard later
I thin I just cut my hand.
I’ll mow the front yard later
Let me cool down
I’ll mow the front yard later
I am tired, I’m going to sleep
(Next day) Good morning, what a beautiful day!
I’ll mow the front yard later.
